Bar Futo, a Japanese-inspired restaurant rooted in binchotan-fired cooking in the heart of Portland’s Old Port, is looking for a host/support to add to the team. Job Responsibilities
Create a friendly and welcoming environment for all guests
Actively manage reservation system to maximize seat count
Balance food running and dining room support during busy services
Help maintain high standard of cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant
Qualifications/Experience
No experience necessary, will train the right candidate
Keen interest and willingness to learn
Ability to stand and work on feet for extended period (up to 12 hours)
Knowledge of sake/wine and Japanese ingredients/techniques is a plus
