Does final inspection of multiple products prior to shipments to the customer using various gauges, tools and inspection techniques.

Accepts or rejects product according to inspection criteria.

Reports issues to supervisor and records findings on inspection documents.

Major Responsibilities:

Obtains correct inspection reports for each product, filling in sub lot numbers for traceability, recording product lot number after verification in the Lot Issuance Program and reading inspection criteria for each product.

Procures inspection samples from in-process or finished products as stated on the inspection documentation.

This may require removal of cartons from skids, replacing samples with product obtained from the operator stations, re-taping cartons and replacing them on skids. Inspects labels, lot numbers, count and packaging configuration for compliance to specifications.

Rejects defective product – notifies manufacturing supervisor or technician, writes a Defective Material Report, pulls product off skid, moves it to rework area and labels each carton.

When rework is complete, re-audits for acceptability.

Answers operator questions and troubleshoots issues with supervisor and technicians.

Fills out the inspection reports for each product and fills out inspection summary in computer.

Writes information about each product in a daily log book to be used as a reference for inspectors on other shifts.

Answers operator questions and troubleshoots issues with supervisor and technicians.

Interfaces with shipping personnel to accommodate priorities and special requests.

May be asked to help with the inspection and testing of validation samples.

Works mandatory overtime.

Maintains a clean and safe work area.

Follows GMP and ISO regulations and company policies and procedures.

Performs other related duties as required.

Molding:

Inspects products for correct packaging, seal integrity, lot number, visual defects using the unaided eye, microscope, UV light, light box and magnification light.

Measures products per specifications using gauges and automated measurement equipment and inputs into VSS or other databases when necessary.

Checks products for wettability and integrity test using various gauges, tools and techniques.

At start up, may inspect product several times until it’s acceptable.

Returns unused parts to the operators and gathers in-house testing samples and customer testing samples – marking them with needed information.

At the completion of the lot, packages the testing samples and appropriately labels the cartons.

Signs off skids identifying acceptability for shipment.

Filter Assembly:

Inspects product for correct packaging, count, seal integrity, lot number, labels, and visual defects using the unaided eye.

This may require removing product from the skids, opening boxes and bags, counting product and repackaging sample bags and cases, and returning them to the skid.

Stripettes:

Visually inspects product for non-conformities related to the labeling of the tube, wrap and packaging.

Insures correct print plates for the tubes and paper wrap were used by comparing product to drawings

Signs off skids identifying acceptability for shipment.

Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
