We are seeking a highly skilled and security-focused network architect (m/f/diverse) to design, manage, and optimize complex, cloud and internet based network infrastructures within our enterprise environment. This role ensures, that all cloud and internet based traffic is securely managed, monitored and is compliant with industry best practices. In the context of a global and complex network landscape, these services must be maintained while considering evolving business requirements, reliability, functionality, efficiency and cost. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with AWS, Azure and Google cloud architectures as well as cloud-native firewalls (CNF), Fortinet security solutions and Cisco SD-WAN.Your tasks and responsibilities:Ownership for designing and prototyping new network architectures and deployments of next generation networks, utilizing Cloud, SD-WAN and Internet Access technologiesContinuous development of technical and operational service architecture in a context of innovations, automation, network stability, reliability, security and costsPerforming feasibility studies and working on IT concepts, market research and vendor evaluationsMake use of DevOps methodology, as well as Infrastructure as Code for automating rollout and operational processes, focusing on effort and cost reductionsResponsibility for release processes, operational / technical workflows and live deployments in complex production IT environmentsDriving escalation and problem management processes, coordinate complex incident and problem resolution on a global scale with internal IT teams and external service providersEfficient communication and valuable collaboration with external suppliers, e.g., managed service providers, software and hardware vendors, as well as internal departments, business unitsProject management in global teamsAbility to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment is essential
