The Unit Secretary/PSS assists the Residential Care Director in the day-to-day clerical functions such as data entry and tracking and filing of information in accordance with current State, Federal and VA standards that govern medical records. This position also provides care as a PSS that meets the physical and psychosocial needs of residents according to the resident's functional assessment and service care plan. This care is delivered in a manner that highlights each resident’s abilities, preserves dignity and enhances quality of life. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 2:00pm (30 hours). PSS, DSP or CNA certification is required
CPR Certification preferred
High School graduate or GED equivalent
Experience in a residential care or nursing home environment or work/volunteer experience with the elderly preferred
A minimum of two years of training/experience/education providing knowledge of secretarial and office procedures in a health care environment
