Position Summary:Certified Medical Assistants are responsible for the safety and well-being of patients and assist in the treatment of patients under the direction of the provider. Certified Medical Assistants work as part of an integral team between the clinical and clerical teams. Certified Medical Assistants share the mission, philosophy, visions, values, goals and policies of St. Joseph Healthcare.Job Requirements: Education: High School Diploma/GEDCertifications: AAMA/RMA/CCMA (or must be obtained within 6 months of employment for new grads only)BLS to be obtained within 30 days of employmentBrief summary of duties to include, but not limited to:

Greet and assist patients & families courteously

Assist administrative/office staff with phone call coverage, including daily tasks

Preps patients to be seen in the practice according to practice standards

Performs and documents results of point of care testing and appropriate interventions to practice standards

Immunizations are scheduled and administered according to practice guidelines and documented.

Must possess strong interpersonal skills, be a team player and be consistent with the St. Joseph Healthcare Mission.

Must be willing to float throughout the practices when necessary.The starting rate for this position is:$20.00Rate of pay displayed reflects the beginning of the pay scale.
