This position is still at the proposal stage and is awaiting award. This position will support the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program.  The person in this position will represent International SOS and provide services outlined below: International SOS is looking for an individual who is an experienced phlebotomist to safely and efficiently collect blood samples from patients for diagnostic testing, transfusions, or research purposes, while ensuring patient comfort and adherence to safety protocols. This role is crucial in supporting healthcare providers by obtaining accurate laboratory results essential for effective patient care. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform patient phlebotomy to include inpatient ward rounds, inpatient and outpatient, Emergency Department (ED), STAT, as soon as possible (ASAP), and timed draws.  Perform sample processing and send out preparation. Positively identifies patients prior to sample collection and samples prior to testing or aliquoting. Safeguards electronic and paper patient information.  Independently tests, evaluates, documents, and reports patient testing and Quality Control (QC); identifies, documents, and resolves any collection, processing, testing or reporting issues.  Identifies, documents, and resolves any collection, processing, testing, or reporting issues.  Assures patient-centered care and provides service in a manner that is professional and will avoid complaints from all stakeholders and customers. This list is non-exhaustive, and the role holder may be required to undertake additional duties that are not specifically listed above.
