Position required/subject to working nighttime operations and/ or call outs for emergencies that occur outside normal work hours.This position is part of a heavy road maintenance crew that is responsible for using various hand tools, operating heavy equipment and dump trucks for asphalt and milling operations, installing large cross drain culverts, assisting with erosion repair jobs and various building maintenance projects.As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Mobile Equipment Operator 1, 2 or 1/Heavy depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant(s).MOBILE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR 1 - Valid Class E Driver's License required upon appointment.Starting salary for MEO-1 is $16.06/hour with an additional $1.00/hour for all hours worked . Additionally, a 10% base pay increase will be granted during the probationary period (12-24 months) upon attainment of permanent status (CDL Class A required to attain permanent status).MOBILE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR 2 - Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) will be required upon appointment.Starting salary for MEO-2 is $17.18/hour with an additional $1.00 for all hours worked.
