Description Robert Half is partnered with a growing healthcare group in search of a diligent Staff Accountant in St. Francisville, Louisiana. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of accounting tasks, including payroll management, accounts payable, bank reconciliation, and journal entries. Your work will be critical to ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and reports.Responsibilities: Oversee the processing of payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees. Handle accounts payable, ensuring all financial obligations are met in a timely manner. Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain accuracy in our financial records. Prepare and post journal entries to keep our general ledger up-to-date. Assist with month-end and year-end postings to ensure all financial transactions are accounted for. Contribute to the preparation of tax filings, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Support the auditing process by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations. Assist with the preparation of financial reports, providing accurate and timely information for decision making. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, and Payroll procedures and principles. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.Requirements Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) activities Experience with Bank Reconciliations Familiarity with maintaining and updating the General Ledger Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries Experience in handling Month End Close processes Proficiency in managing payroll activities Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.For confidential consideration, please contact Hayley Euper at 504-383-0704 or apply today!
