IT Asset Technician

Description:All employees (full time employees and contractors) be fully vaccinated before starting We are looking for an IT Asset Management Technician to join the "projects team" for a 2–3month contract (to start) to help track & management the IT Assets for a hardware deployment project in the Slidell, LA area. Our Project's Team is responsible for strictly project work such as IT hardware deployments and/or upgrades for new construction projects, acquisitions, new partnerships, etc. We recently announced a partnership with Slidell Memorial Health System and will be acquiring their IT department and will need to deploy over 3000 PCs across the hospital and surrounding clinics. This person will be responsible for reporting to our storage facility in Slidell, document in Excel the incoming IT inventory (PCs, monitors, keyboards, mics, label scanners, etc.), staging the equipment, documenting the equipment that the deployment technicians take to deploy, and provide a report to the Project Manager on how many devices are left to be deployed. All devices will come pre-imaged but there is a chance this person will help image/re-image some of the devices and possibly help with some of the deployments as well, but documentation and asset management is the main priority for this role. Example - there are 500 PCs, 500 monitors, 500 keyboards, 100 label scanners that arrive to the facility. This person would be responsible for organizing the equipment in designated areas and document everything in Excel. If the deployment techs are scheduled to deploy 100 PCs, 100 monitors, 100 keyboards, and 25 label scanners in the Emergency Room tomorrow, this person would be responsible for staging all of the equipment in a designated area so that the deployment techs can come and grab from the organized pile, and this person would document what has gone out for deployment and report this to the PM. We are looking for a well-rounded technician that has experience tracking assets in Excel with an IT background . Candidates need to have good communication skills, be dependable, and eager to learn.
