We are seeking a vigilant and reliable Unarmed Security Officer to join our team and ensure the safety of a department store, its associates, and customers. Must obtain a guard card for the state of Louisiana. Must be willing to do random drug screenings.
Responsibilities:
Patrol the designated property (indoors and outdoors) on foot
Provide a professional and courteous presence for all clients and visitors, assisting with directions and building access as needed.
Respond to emergencies (fire alarms, medical incidents, security breaches) according to company policies and established protocols.
Complete detailed reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
Deter security breaches and investigate any suspicious behavior or incidents.
Required Qualifications:
Valid Louisiana State Guard Card
Proven experience in a security role preferred
Excellent observation and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
Physical capability to frequently climb stairs and stand for extended periods.
Must be able to adhere to random drug screening.
