Description We are providing a long-term contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Controller, based in Plaquemine, Louisiana. As a Controller, you will be handling a full range of accounting functions, from data analysis to financial reporting. You will be an integral part of a team readying for a growth phase, where your competence and willingness to be a supportive team member will be highly valued. Reporting directly to the Vice President, this is a highly visible role within a growing organization!Responsibilities: Manage full accounting cycle tasks to maintain accurate financial records. Use Accounting Software Systems for efficient data management. Conduct regular audits to ensure financial compliance and accuracy. Oversee budget processes and maintain the integrity of financial data. Prepare and post Journal Entries as part of the month-end close process. Perform Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation for financial accuracy. Manage Asset Inventory to track and maintain company assets. Implement Activity Based Costing and Job Cost methods for accurate cost calculation. Prepare and present Financial Reports to leadership, including operational and financial data. Conduct Data Analysis to provide insights for financial decision making.Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems; Quickbooks Enterprise experience is highly preferable Microsoft Excel Intermediate experience Extensive knowledge of Accounting Functions Experience in Auditing procedures Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries Expertise in Account Reconciliation Capability to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation Experience with Month End Close operations Competence in Job Cost calculations Proven experience in Financial Reporting Ability to perform Data AnalysisRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
