Description: Provides reliability and maintenance mechanical engineering technical support with the primary purpose of increasing rotating equipment reliability.
Executes job requests according to set priorities.
Reports on general purpose equipment repairs.
Analyzes vibration spectra and trends and issues Machine Action Reports if any corrective measure is required.
Records all data (memos, close-out reports, recommendations) in the file system.
Analyzes and documents the cause of rotating equipment failures.
Recommends required stock items for General Purpose rotating equipment.
Recommends removal from stock of obsolete parts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's of Science (or higher) degree in Engineering required.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
1 year of experience in rotating equipment preferred.
Basic skill using Microsoft Office Programs (i.e., Word and Excel) required.All successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
