Animal Care Kennel Leads work as a team to ensure safe, sanitary and secure facilities for all shelter animals. Responsible for the humane handling and care of all shelter animals. This includes daily feeding, walking and care of all dogs and cleaning/sanitizing of all kennels, cages, animal holding areas and other shelter areas. You may also need to assist in the cat areas. Interact with the public by showing shelter animals, counseling potential adopters, providing general information and receiving donations. Other responsibilities include transporting animals to medical appointments, writing animal bios, supervising dog playgroups and other various shelter duties. Must be able to maintain effective, cooperative and professional working relationships with co-workers, volunteers and Board Members.

Must be 18 years or older. Must be able to take direction, detail oriented, team player and good customer service skills. Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays. Must be able to lift 40 lbs, be on feet for 6-8 hours and walk/handle large dogs (80 lbs or more) on outdoor walks. Valid Driver's License required.
