OMEX is seeking an experienced full-time Account Manager to lead in our New Orleans, LA market. Must have supervisory experience of at least three years, with a minimum of three direct reports, supervision of more than 25 employees, and in charge of at least 500,000 square feet. This position requires excellent communication, written and verbal skills. Ability to pay attention to detail while managing overall operations to ensure all cleaning staff complete their assigned duties meeting a prominent level of expectation. Ensure that all safety standards are adhered to, and serve as the liaison between the front-line supervisors, employees, customers and OMEX management. Leading and managing people in a team minded environment is important for success. This position will report to the Operations Manager.
Candidates should be able to multi-task and prioritize task, able to train employees in all aspects of janitorial cleaning, able to trouble shoot equipment, when necessary, able to work independently, be familiar with smartphone technology, including apps and email systems.
This position is currently Monday - Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm
The Account Manager will report to the Harahan Office located at 1508 Edwards Ave, Suite GG, Harahan, LA 70123 at 7:30am daily for Operational brief.
The selected candidate must have clean driving record.
Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to.
Availability to be present at work on scheduled days.
Accepts professional development as it relates to opportunities for improvement across the responsible OMEX accounts.
Ensure assignments are appropriately staffed and employees have adequate supplies and equipment for completion of assignments.
Establish and maintain the highest level of cleaning services through coaching, comprehensive inspections, and accountability.
Build and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective customers.
Responds to customers request in the allotted time.
In-depth knowledge of periodic tasks such as hard floor care, carpet care and restroom cleaning.
Ability to present quarterly quality control audit reports to customers.
Provides monthly inventory and places orders of cleaning supplies.
Other duties as directed by OMEX Management.
Requirements:
Janitorial supervisory experience of at least three years, with a minimum of three direct reports and more than 25 employees.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Office.
Strong computer skills.
Communicate in English verbally and written, Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.
Ability to train all employees on how to perform daily janitorial tasks and various floor work.
Must be dependable, have a professional appearance, pay attention to detail, and possess organization skills.
Positive, friendly, and warm customer service attitude
Professional and cordial management style with customers and fellow employees
Other requirements:
Must be able to work a flexible shift, including some nights, weekends, and holidays.
Manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools, cleaning tools and chemicals.
Ability to stand, crouch, climb, and lift over 50lbs to perform routine cleaning tasks.
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
Pass a Louisiana State Police background check.
E-Verify and Background check required.
Experience:
Janitorial operations experience: 5 years required.
Janitorial supervisory experience of at least three years, with a minimum of three direct reports and supervision of more than 25 employees.
Janitorial supervision of multiple locations or combined square footage of over 500,000 square feet.
