We are hiring Care Team professionals to assist our Senior Home Care clients in the Greater New Orleans Area. Our pay starts at $13 an hour and shifts are all 8-to-12-hours. Overtime is available to our top performers. We are a larger PCA company that is fully licensed by the Louisiana Department of Health.
We do require a minimum of 1 year of professional verifiable experience within a senior care capacity.
Job Responsibilities Include:
-Providing companionship with cheerful and positive assistance
- Personal hygiene assistance including shower, tub or bed baths, oral care, hair and skin care
-Assist clients in the use of toilet facilities and incontinence
-Ambulation assistance including the use of gait belts, walkers and wheelchairs, when applicable
-Meal preparation and assistance with eating, as needed
-Medication reminders and assisting client with self-administration of medication
-Light housekeeping
-Communication with clients, families and agency regarding patient care
-Complete daily care documentation
-Errands and shopping as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
-High school graduate or equivalent
-Must have effective verbal and written communication skills
-Desire for a flexible schedule
-Ability to use force of up to 50lb occasionally
-Must clear a background check and pass drug test
-1 year of home care experience or similar is required
