We are seeking a skilled and passionate line cook to join our team. We're a new restaurant in the French Quarter. We serve craft club sandwiches in a fast-casual setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. They will be responsible for preparing meals according to our menu, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment both alone and with others.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling practices.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other cooking tools.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Experience:
Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
Familiarity with menu planning and food handling guidelines.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Starting Pay Range: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
