Bésame an established, locally-owned and chef driven restaurant is looking for service staff to join our dynamic team.
We pride ourselves on our warm and gracious hospitality and are looking for team members who have a strong desire to execute hospitality in an informed manner.
We specialize in Latin American spirits, South american wine and beers, and a curated tapas menu of cooked-from-scratch Latin flare dishes.
We are located in the middle of the Arts District within 50 feet to The Saenger Theater and a short walk to The Orpheum and Joy Theaters. Working well under pressure in a professional manner is key during Broadway show nights since 70% of our customer base are people attending those events.
We offer wine, beer and a full cocktail menu during, lunch, brunch and dinner services. This position does require being able to retain information about our selections and being able to answer a base level of questions about taste profiles and preparation for guests.
Experience is greatly preferred, but not required if the applicant is passionate about Latin food and culture. Spanish language skills are also a plus!
Must be punctual, friendly, able to multitask, and willing to learn Central and South American food and drink ingredients. Job responsibilities will include taking orders from customers, running food, coffee service, managing customer payments, and providing an enjoyable experience for all guests.
