The High Hat, an established and beloved neighborhood restaurant in the heart of New Orleans, is seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a leader with a strong culinary vision, excellent management skills, and the ability to uphold the consistency and quality our guests expect. The ideal candidate will have a deep respect for Southern cooking traditions, a strong work ethic, and experience running a high-volume kitchen.
Responsibilities include:
Overseeing all kitchen operations, including food prep, execution, and service
Developing seasonal menus and specials in collaboration with ownership
Leading, training, and inspiring a team of cooks and kitchen staff
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety
Managing inventory, food costs, and vendor relationships
Ensuring a consistently excellent dining experience for every guest
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years experience in a high-volume kitchen; at least 2 in a leadership role
Strong background in Southern, Creole, or Gulf Coast cuisine preferred
Proven ability to lead and develop a cohesive team
ServSafe or equivalent certification
Passion, creativity, and a commitment to quality and hospitality
