Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and personable bartender to join our team at a vibrant daiquiri bar on Decatur Street. The ideal candidate will have experience working with frozen drinks, a passion for creating a welcoming atmosphere, and the ability to thrive in a high-energy environment. As a bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving frozen daiquiris and other frozen cocktails, delivering exceptional service, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve frozen daiquiris and other frozen cocktails according to our recipes and standards.
Operate and maintain frozen drink machines, ensuring they are stocked, cleaned, and functioning properly.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, making drink recommendations, and ensuring a positive experience.
Take and process drink orders accurately and efficiently.
Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organized bar area.
Check identification to ensure guests meet the legal drinking age requirements.
Handle cash and card transactions, and balance the register at the end of each shift.
Comply with all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption, intervening as necessary to promote responsible drinking.
Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, stocking, and setting up the bar.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a bartender, preferably with frozen drinks and in a fast-paced bar or restaurant environment.
Knowledge of frozen drink machines and ability to troubleshoot basic machine issues.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Certification in responsible alcohol service (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
