Costera is looking to hire an Assistant General Manager (AGM)
The AGM assists the General Manager (GM) in the day-to-day operations and oversees front-of-house restaurant staff including servers, bartenders, food runners, hosts and bussers, and whose duties include:
Hires and scheduling within your department, assigning, training, evaluating and terminating employees and maintaining up-to-date employee records
Documents, investigates, escalates and resolves all employee and guests incidents
Ensures exceptional service standards are consistently met and that activities are carried out effectively
Assists in planning, organizing and executing private events
Inspects dining room and storage areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Estimates front-of-house food and beverage needs, and supervises intake orders to ensure specifications
Assists GM in ordering of FOH supplies and product
Reviews financial information such as sales, inventory and costs to monitor budget
Meets with dining room and bar personnel to plan restaurant activities, special events, share information, etc.
Repairs needed to the restaurant
Performs other duties as required or assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of experiencing leading or managing a front-of-house restaurant team in a fine dining, high volume environment
An innate sense of hospitality
Strong understanding of steps of service
Outstanding communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with scheduling and scheduling apps
Knowledge of wine and liquor is highly preferred
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Availability to work with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 10 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
Knowledge of Resy or OpenTable is preferred, as well as tablet-based POS systems.
