What do we expect from you?Reporting directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing, the Senior Marketing Manager is accountable for sharing the story of Fairmont New Orleans by leveraging all digital platforms available, through digital invitations, inspiration and storytelling.  This role supports the Director of Sales & Marketing in executing strategies in digital marketing, social media, content development, and online reputation management, and measures success through outcomes supported by analytics and reporting.Be a part of a pre-opening teamCreate curated content with direction from the Director of Sales & Marketing to ensure it amplifies key messages and tells a story consistent with our hotel and Fairmont brand identity, while managing and monitoring the hotel’s presence on Social Media networks (primarily Instagram, Facebook and Twitter) in conjunction with input and support from the Director of Sales & MarketingResponsible for guest and community engagement on relevant social media channelsUtilize available programs to integrate proper User Generated ContentManage on-line and social reputation for the hotel, manage content and implementation for all (integrated) social media initiatives and web content with PR Agency/Contractor and DOSMContribute regularly to Corporate social media initiatives, and implement local social media partnerships for cross-promotional opportunitiesWith direction and assistance from Director of Sales & Marketing, update and maintain property website, app and external booking engines within the corporate standards, and maintain current image library and video footage to maximize media coverageCreate and coordinate monthly (and as needed) email blasts to local email lists through our Fairmont programs with input and support from the Director of Sales & MarketingAssist with video and photo shoots at the hotel as well as create new, on-brand photography for social media posts as neededDevelop briefs for digital campaigns, oversee paid media content strategy, manage creative trafficking, analyzing results, and reporting on key learningsPartners with Director of Revenue Management to monitor Fairmont.com performance and identify opportunities for growthWork with corporate PR to develop and execute brand initiativesWrite and disseminate press kits, releases, editors’ advisories, calendar listingsConduct media and influencer property tours and develop itineraries as neededDirect day-to-day website management, recommendations for improvement for responsive design, implementation of enhancements, and achieving website revenue goals, and website KPIsWork closely with appropriate teams to develop new guest offers, identify and implement timely actions that improve website conversions and average booking values, and provide reports on the improvement plan, execution, and resultsManage vendor relationships with applicable technology and marketing partners and escalate and document opportunities and/or service problems with recommended solutionsExecute corporate e-commerce campaigns to support the hotel strategic marketing plans working within the established budgetsOptimize SEO/SEM for the property vanity sitesServe as a key contact in the hotel for the media, industry partners and the community champion philanthropic partnerships and promote environmental and social initiatives within the community, while raising the profile of both the hotel and the brandAttend hotel promotional events as needed including weekends and evenings
