Master's degree required with three years teaching and mentoring experience in secondary or post-secondary education.

Applicant must have excellent communication and people skills in working with students, faculty, and staff.

Applicant should also have the ability to collaborate with faculty and staff on projects and assignments.

Job Concepts

Serve as the primary advisor of record to several student cohorts, including, but are not limited to: exploratory/undecided freshmen/sophomore students, General Studies' majors, and preclinical level students enrolled in College of Nursing.

Provide thorough diligence in all aspects of advising and student success.

Serve as a mentor and instructor for University Studies 1000 (The University Experience).

Serve as lead point of contact in unit's retention programming.

Assist and support various campus stakeholders in retention-related initiatives, including Faculty Lead Assistance in My Education (FLAME).

Will work in collaboration with ASC tutoring program and represent unit to serve on university-wide Retention Committee.
