Description We are offering a contract to hire opportunity for a Credit Clerk in the manufacturing industry. As a crucial member of our team, you will be tasked with the processing of customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and taking appropriate action to resolve credit inquiries and collect delinquent payments. Process customer credit applications in a timely and accurate manner Maintain and update customer credit records and collection files Build and support relationships with dealer and contractor accounts Apply daily deposits to customer accounts and communicate any discrepancies Perform collection calls on past due accounts, negotiate and propose solutions for past due balances Monitor the financial condition of accounts and recommend changes in credit status and/or credit limits, as necessary Reconcile customer accounts and respond to customer inquiries via phone and/or email Review and release orders on credit hold and update account profiles with new billing/account information Work closely with the Credit Manager as needed with daily tasks and responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Credit Clerk or similar role in the manufacturing industry. Demonstrable knowledge of banking operation and cash activity. Proficiency in using accounting software systems such as ADP - Financial Services and IBM AS/400. Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suites, especially Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with check processing and collection processes. Solid understanding and experience in credit management and related tasks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
