The Acute Care, Orthopedics, Neurology, and Plastic Surgery JNT is responsible for delivery of non-professional customer care according to the established policies of the department, West Jefferson Medical Center and the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. The Acute Care, Orthopedics, Neurology and Plastic Surgery JNT demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to assist the nursing personnel in providing care to acutely ill adult and geriatric patients with acute care needs. The Acute Care, Orthopedics, Neurology and Plastic Surgery JNT works in collaboration with and under direct supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) in the delivery of care to patients who are at minimal-to-moderate risk, and to a large extent care is routine, standardized and outcomes are predictable. The Acute Care, Orthopedics, Neurology, and Plastic Surgery JNT recognizes his/her personal and legal limitations and seeks assistance and guidance appropriately.
