job detailsjob summary:A Senior Project Manager is needed for a multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology company, whose areas of business include pharmaceuticals, consumer healthcare products, agricultural chemicals, seeds and biotechnology products in the Luling, LA area. This role entails leading the planning, execution, and completion of capital investment projects, ensuring compliance, driving continuous improvement.location: Luling, Louisianajob type: Contractsalary: $37.33 - 55.95 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Associatesresponsibilities:

Maintain close working relationships with key site leaders to define, plan, budget, and execute required capital projects.

Manage the implementation of capital projects, including concept development, project team establishment, basic and detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and qualification.

Identify requirements and secure necessary engineering discipline, engineering services, procurement, and construction support.

Provide management with updated analysis and projections on project status, focusing on change management, schedule compliance, cost control, and risk management.

Develop execution strategy and actively manage risk reduction programs, implementing best practices and lessons learned.

Skills:

In-depth knowledge of project engineering management principles and practices.

Managerial abilities to lead a large group of technical people on multi-disciplined teams for major capital projects.

Significant experience in project engineering, controlling, and integrating activities associated with design/construction projects.

Understanding of general business principles and procedures.

Excellent communication skills, customer focus, ability to deal with ambiguity and conflicts.

Education and Experience:

Associate degree plus 10+ years' experience, or

Bachelor's degree plus 8+ years' experience, or

Master's degree plus 6+ years' experience in project management and engineering.

Professional registration and/or certifications preferred.
