Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.Supply Chain Planning EngineerLafayette, IndianaRelocation Assistance AvailableThe Supply Chain Planning Engineer will be part of the Supply Chain Planning team supporting the Supply Chain Planning Strategy around sourcing/resourcing/special projects impacting Lafayette Engine Center and leading Supply Chain projects to develop Supply Chain solutions to support critical business initiatives.What you will do:
Support all areas of the Lafayette Supply Chain Planning team as needed.
Perform Supply Chain Planning Analysis utilizing Plan For Every Part Workbook and other tools to ensure Supply Chain parameters aligned with facility targets.
Represent Supply Chain in sourcing council and New Source Introduction gateway meetings.
Represent Supply Chain on New Capital Introduction projects and in NCI gateway meetings.
Lead internal Supply Chain teams to develop & implement Supply Chain solutions to meet project requirements.
Develop project reports and provide regular communication to Management/Stakeholders on project status.
Analyze and summarize large datasets using excel, power point and database tools to support Supply Chain Planning team project goals.
Incumbent is required to work effectively with diverse, multi-functional teams in order to apply the Supply Chain Planning process.
Investigating and incorporating industry benchmarks, metrics and best practices to develop optimal supply chains for suppliers and/or product sets.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

Progressively responsible supply chain job experience
Advanced knowledge and ability to effectively use Microsoft Office tools such as Excel & Power Point.
Effective communicator, excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate across all management levels.
Strong understanding and previous experience using common supply chain systems (e.g. MAMM MRP, Lognet, MRC, EDI, MESL, FRACS and Pull Manager), and the ability to coordinate facility efforts.
Must possess excellent leadership skills to effectively lead supply chain improvements making the best use of available resources, while maintaining strong people focus.
Must possess extremely strong collaborative, interpersonal and negotiation skills in order to drive common supply chain processes across multiple departments within a business division.
Must have advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to creatively solve very complex problems.
Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures and solid product knowledge
Prior experience leading critical projects to support business initiatives.
Advanced knowledge of SQL and the ability to analyze large datasets for pertinent information.
Experience and knowledge about CPS supply chain principles, Supply Chain Planning analytical tools, and inventory management.
6-Sigma training and experience.
Previous experience as a Supply Chain Planning Analyst or Engineer is a plus.
Ability to thrive in an uncertain environment and work independently with a sense of urgency.
