Project Manufacturing Engineer

Louisiana, Lafayette, 70501 Lafayette USA
Aplica ya

Description:The process manufacturing engineering group is responsible for New Model introduction projects. Currently they are launching a new vehicle every two years right now and this team supports those introductions. 80% of their time is spent in New Model planning with 20% spent within managing the installation, commissioning, and trial runs of the equipment. The candidates are assigned to an area of the new vehicle that will be produced and they’re responsible for leading the projects relevant to that section. For each project the candidate will develop the concept, project plan, develop specifications, manage the timeline/progress, oversee the installation, commissioning, and trials of their projects. Typical projects would be supporting new assembly processes and tooling needed for the new models. If not a new model project, and larger capital project the plant would support that requires a 6+ month timeline of completion would be supported by this group. They will work with vendors/suppliers, maintenance group, pilot team, etc when managing their projects. Due to the nature of the work, it is expected the candidate provides support on weekends as needed for their projects. Right now they have an extremely high workload so working a couple weekends a month is likely. When they don’t have projects requiring weekend work it won't be required.Skills:Bachelors of Engineering, New Model Introduction, Automotive, 3D Modeling, Project Planning, Microsoft Project, Automation, RoboticsTop Skills Details:Bachelors of Engineering,New Model Introduction,Automotive,3D Modeling,Project Planning,Microsoft ProjectAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Must Haves
