Join our innovative and dynamic company, as we deliver the small spacecraft of the future.Blue Canyon Technologies’ (BCT) Finance Team has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) analyst . This is a unique and challenging role supporting a portfolio that includes external and intra programs with a wide range of commercial and DOD customers . This position requires a self-starter with demonstrated direction and critical thinking skills with an eye for innovation and process improvement and the ability to facilitate accuracy and efficiency into all FP&A activities and deliverables.Key characteristics for this role include proactive direction , sense of importance , ability to drive actions to completion, creative problem solving, and excellent team collaboration .This role is open to remote locations and requires occasional travel.What You Will Do:

Establish and implement a monthly and weekly cadence across BCT for FP&A inputs, reviews and on-time delivery to SIM FP&A.

Accurate and timely analysis of financial performance (bookings, sales, profit, and cash) and early identification and communication of issues impacting financial performance.

Ownership of financial reports, presentations and FP&A deliverables with a focus on data integrity, completeness, analysis and timeliness.

Element of Cost analysis for all External, and Intra programs.

Support the BCT SRO process with a drive towards consistency, timeliness and accuracy.

Actively participate in weekly/monthly forecasts, business and cash call reviews with the BCT LT and SIM FP&A.

Understand all elements of the BCT balance sheet; Identify issues and encourage resolution.

Monitor and analyze BCT Investments: Capital projects, Overhead spending, IRAD projects and NBI spending.

Monitor spending/liquidation of Inventory ARs and CFRs.

Help establish and facilitate the schedule for long range planning (LRP) activities to meet the SIM FP&A deadlines; support all LRP deliverables.

Provide variance analysis and month/year-end close reporting and monitoring, working capital monitoring and analysis, and program financial forecasting

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years ' experience.

Minimum 5 years applicable work in Financial Planning and Analysis, Program Controls or related areas of finance

Must be a US Citizen

Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) concepts, related systems, and processes

Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Experience with SAP accounting system tools .

Excellent experience in the use of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).

Budgeting and variance analysis experience.

Risk and Opportunity analysis experience.

Prior work experience with a USG defense contractor.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed .

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
