Financial Analyst

Position Description CGI Federal is looking for a Financial Analyst with 2-5 years experience to join our team. Qualified candidates will need to possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, good oral and written skills, attention to detail, and has a good understanding of operational/financial accounting concepts. Candidates in this role will be expected to work closely with other finance members and other senior members of CGI leadership. They will also be actively encouraged to develop their skills and knowledge through both internal and external professional development to enable them to progress their career within CGI. This role will have full responsibility for all financial reporting activity related to eligible tax credit and grant programs for CGI Federal, including invoicing, financial analysis and reporting. This person will be working directly with senior business leaders in Lafayette and Knoxville, and finance staff both locally and at headquarters

Your future duties and responsibilities Review projects for qualifying grant reimbursements. Monthly prepare and review charges to workforce development grant. Monthly prepare grant invoice submissions with all supporting details. Monthly prepare and submit accruals for expected grant reimbursements and tax credits. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for tax credits and grants. Quarterly reconcile all wage and tax registers to payroll and timesheets. Annually prepare tax credit submissions for internal review and submission to auditors. Prepare annual compliance/financial reports for submission to the state(s). Monthly prepare internal financial status reports for senior management. Support internal and external audit requests. Other related ad-hoc analyses as necessary.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role Bachelors Degree and 2 to 5 years of directly related experience. In addition: Strong Excel, financial reporting / analytical and communication skills required. Familiarity with payroll and ability to meet tight deadlines.
