Bookkeeper

Description Robert Half has a short-term contract opening for a Bookkeeper. The successful candidate will join our team and focus on maintaining accurate financial records. This role involves bookkeeping, data entry, and reconciliation of accounts. The role is located in the Harahan, Louisiana area.Responsibilities: Develop a systematic approach to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts and defining bookkeeping policies and procedures. Verify, allocate, and post transactions to maintain accounts. Reconcile entries to balance accounts. Maintain and balance the general ledger. File documents to maintain quality historical records. Collect, analyze, and summarize account information to prepare financial reports. Create Accounts Receivable invoices, review payments received, and record deposits. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for data entry and management. Perform month-end close procedures and payroll tasks. Conduct account reconciliation and manage accounts payable and receivable.Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations Solid understanding of Bookkeeping principles and practices Data Entry skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with Month End Close procedures Knowledge of Payroll processing Proficiency in QuickBooks softwareRobert Half puts you in the best position to succeed by advocating on your behalf and promoting you to employers.
