Workforce Planning and Staffing SpecialistGeismar, LASystem One is seeking a Workforce Planning and Staffing Specialist for a 6 month+ contract opportunity in Geismar, LA.Position Summary:The primary functions of this position are to support the recruiting team by proactively sourcing talent, building relationships, and expediting the on-boarding process. They will partner with Talent Acquisitions Recruiters and Coordinators to assist with developing strategies to support the teams current and upcoming needs. Workforce Planning and Staffing Specialist Responsibilities:
Customer Service including assisting walk-in customers, assisting job seekers with completing applications etc.
Reviews employment requisitions
Administrative duties including data entry, answering phones, taking messages, filing etc.
Develop detailed job descriptions, screening questions, and tool lists specific to positions based on scope of work to be performed.
Source candidates from multiple internal and external pools.
Screen candidates to ensure qualification for positions to be filled.
Maintain pools by departments and geographic region.
Recruit and assist hiring managers with offers of employment to qualified candidates in face paced environment.
Schedule individuals for processing and orientation.
Update Applicant Tracking System in real time with candidate information and interactions.
Attend job fairs and other industry events.
Workforce Planning and Staffing Specialist Preferred Requirements:
Associates or Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
PHR or SHRM-CP
Knowledge of employment laws/compliance
Experience in: Administration, Customer Service, Human Resources, Industrial Construction and/or Nuclear Industries
