Description Robert Half is looking for a motivated Staff Accountant for a permanent position within a prestigious Telecom Services company in this hybrid role. Our Northshore client has been a great partner and hired many times for us over the last 10 years. The Staff Accountant will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You will assist in developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will review schedules for the reporting processes, take part in compliance, and interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. This role is very integrated as it plays a part in the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on
Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested

Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills
2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Month end closings experience preferred
Oracle experience required
Microsoft Excel experience
General ledger experience
Financial statement preparation experience desired
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting requried, CPA candidate and willing to pursue the exam very strongly preferred
Proven knowledge of account reconciliation
Efficient in ERP systems
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Spreadsheet and database capabilities with strong Excel skills
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
