Psychiatric nurses work quickly, efficiently, and meticulously. Psychiatric nurses must be detail oriented, flexible, able to juggle multiple priorities without missing a beat, adept with technical skills, a team player, and must have excellent communication skills.

  Responsibilities:

• ThePsychiatric Registered Nurseprovides patient care through utilization of the nursing process. The nursing process is demonstrated by the staffregistered nurse’s ability to work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary health care team in planning, directing, implementing, and evaluating patient care. May supervise RN's, LPN's, technicians, unit secretaries, nursing students, and nursing assistants.

Qualifications

• Current RN License or compact license in the State of Louisiana

• Behavioral Health experience preferred but will consider other hospital experience

• Current Basic Life Support
