Supplemental InformationThe Louisiana Department of Revenue (LDR) is responsible for fairly and efficiently collecting state tax revenues to fund public services, to regulate charitable gaming and the sale of alcoholic beverage and tobacco, and to support state agencies in the collection of overdue debts. Collectively, each program, unit, division and group work together to provide the core services to taxpayers of the State of Louisiana and stakeholders of the agency. LDR is comprised of the following groups: Tax Collection, Charitable Gaming, Alcohol and Tobacco Control (ATC), Debt Recovery, and Louisiana Tax Free Shopping Commission. The Business Services Division provides a planned, systematic agency-wide approach to identifying, designing, measuring, prioritizing and monitoring quality management activities; formalizing, initializing and executing new projects; monitoring current department productivity by managing production issues with agency-wide applications and procedures; and incorporating state-wide objectives Into the Louisiana Department of Revenue (LDR). ABOUT THIS POSITION: To provide Department's head and the executive team with analyses and recommendations on the operations of Louisiana Department of Revenue and to assist executive level directors/managers with highly complex and/or technical analyses and recommendations on projects affecting any areas within the Department of Revenue. Duties include, but are not limited to: Process Efficiencies- Analyzes the programs, policies, procedures and methods of operation within the DELTA system work flow; e-works, project management portfolio tool to determine objectives attainment, process efficiency and service quality. Obtains, review and analyzes data concerning programs or operations; scope and goals; and the policies, practices, methods, and procedures used to implement and maintain projects.Organizational Workflow-Directs or conducts management studies of organizations, duty assignments of employees, administrative control systems, and impact of programs. Documents findings and suggests ways to enhance programs’ effectiveness and efficiencies. Works closely with team members to assign, coordinate, solve and schedule any projects that are assigned through governance board, director assignment, budget allocation, lT integration or appointed official sponsorship. Conducts work simplification measurements and related studies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiencyof the agency and programs under study. R.S.15:587.5, 587.6 and the IRS require the Louisiana Department of Revenue ("LDR") to conduct a criminal history records check of a prospective employee who will access federal tax information to perform his job duties.
