Supplemental InformationAssessment, Accountability, & AnalyticsAAAEducation Research Analyst 1-3(CPG)Job Focus Area:This position has lead responsibilities for technical aspects over the state’s Early Childhood accountability program. The following is the detailed job duty and accountability description with approximate percentages of time for each duty the candidate will need to perform:

Program development, implementation, and evaluation (60%)

Determines program goals and objectives to effectively develop and implement statewide Early Childhood accountability programs.

Collaborates with other researchers and/or administrators to design, develop, and implement Early Childhood and accountability programs.

Assists districts with their data certification process and applies all approved corrections to the final data files.

Produces all data sets for Early Childhood reports.

Works collaboratively with vendors on technical and research projects.

Reviews professional literature, publications, and studies to determine the best practices in the administration of statewide accountability and/or other programs.

Prepares reports regarding Early Childhood accountability issues in response to legislative and policymakers’ requests.

Data collection, analysis, and dissemination (30%)

Analyzes educational program data as it relates to Early Childhood accountability programs.

Produces all data sets for Early Childhood reports.

Collaborates with other researchers and/or administrators to design, pilot, and implement research design, data collection, data analysis, and technical reports.

Designs different report templates relate with routine education activities by using SAS and Excel.

According to internal requirement, modifies and updates templates monthly.

Designs performance profiles for sites, community networks, and state by using SAS software, and releases public report cards.

Uses a variety of analytical and statistical methods and software packages to review and verity education data for validity and accuracy.

Performs all data requests and other duties as directed by the supervisor or division director.

Technical assistance and professional development (10%)

Assists state and local educators and members of the general public in collecting and/or interpreting education data for student and school improvement.

Coordinates on-site technical assistance to teachers regarding issues in data interpretation and accountability data.

Education Research Analyst 2Special Entrance Rate - $4,562 monthly or $54,735 annually.The maximum monthly salary for the ERA 2 is $7,011.The maximum annual salary for the ERA 2 is $84,136.Education Research Analyst 3Special Entrance Rate - $5,222 monthly or $62,660 annually.The maximum monthly salary for the ERA 3 is $8,027.The maximum annual salary for the ERA 3 is $96,325.This position participates in a Career Progression Group (CPG)and may be filled asa EDUCATION RESEARCH ANALYST 1, 2, or 3. The level at which the vacancy is filled will be determined by the qualifications of the candidate selected. This position provides the opportunity to advance within this job series.
