Supplemental InformationThis position is located in Baton Rouge, LAOffice of School System Financial ServicesJob Focus Areas:This advanced-level Budget Analyst 4 serves as the lead analyst for specialized, complex and technical analytics and budgetary work associated with the administration of the Minimum Foundation Program (MFP). The program purpose is to provide state funding to support public education across Louisiana and is required and authorized by the Louisiana Constitution. The appropriation for this program is well over $4 Billion and funds public school districts, charter schools, lab schools, and state schools. The scope of responsibilities includes program administration, review, data analysis, monitoring, and evaluation. This position is also responsible for the preparation of other complex calculations governed by state statutes allocating billions of dollars to public and nonpublic schools across the state. These other allocations include complex budgeting processes, data sets and calculations.May serve as a technical specialist performing in-depth/expanded activities in programs requiring advanced knowledge, skills, and abilities. Monitors and forecasts revenues and expenditures to identify trends and potential funding problems. Prepares required reports and financial statements which include the compilation and analysis of data.
