Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The role involves a variety of tasks including processing full-cycle accounts payable, reconciling financial data, and assisting with billing and collection calls. The role is part of a rapidly growing team and requires high attention to detail and proficiency in accounting software systems and Microsoft Office Suites. This is a short-term contract opportunity.Responsibilities: Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivables, and payroll liaison activities Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers Input timesheet data and verify documents and codes Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization Provide information as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders Manage collections by contacting existing clients to help resolve payment issues and assist in setting up payment plans Process full-cycle Accounts Payable, handling a high volume of invoices per week with high attention to detail Utilize Accounting Software Systems, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and SAP for various accounting functions Manage accounts receivable, billing functions, cash activity, and check processingRequirements Proficient in Accounting Software Systems Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites Understanding of Accounting Functions Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) Ability to perform Billing Functions Experience in handling Cash Activity Knowledge of Check Processing Proficiency in SAP softwareRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
