Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Maintains sterile technique.Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.Passes instruments to and assist physician during surgical and invasive procedures. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.Assists in obtaining and properly labeling specimen.Follows Infection Control and Safety GuidelinesObtain and prepare supply items for daily cases.Performs Central Sterile duties and schedules patients through EMR as needed.Daily check of materials and par for each item and re-order as necessary to cover upcoming cases.Check in all items received and stock in appropriate area.Check in instruments as arriving, putting instrument trays together, communicating with instrument rep as needed for missing items.Pull supplies from pic sheet for upcoming cases.Communicates with pre-op, infusion, central sterile and pacu to reorder supplies needed for upcoming cases in those areas.Set up Endo for cases and reorder supplies as needed.Communicates with materials director to ensure timely arrival of items needed.Assists in central sterile as needed.Run weekly descaling of scope washer.Look at schedule 1 to 2 weeks out to make sure specialty items needed get ordered.Stocks OR area to ensure all needed items are sufficiently available for the week.Daily communication with director about all above duties.Job RequirementsMinimum EducationX High school diploma or equivalent X Required

X Graduate of a Program in Discipline X RequiredRequired SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Ability to quickly learn how to navigate multiple complex software systems.Must be able to communicate with the ability to read, write, speak and understand English.Must be able to successfully complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.
