Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will:
Teach three (3) or four (4) courses per semester, depending on rank. Teaching assignments will include a variety of education administration courses, such as principal, supervisor of instruction, director of pupil personnel, and/or superintendent content, teacher leadership, teacher education, community leadership, and related courses.
Maintain an advising caseload of graduate students
Collaborate with local school districts and community agencies
Be actively involved in departmental, college, and university committees
Serve on doctoral student dissertation committees
Candidates with a successfully completed doctorate degree will also engage in professional research and scholarly activities consistent with the requirement for tenure and promotion and pursue involvement in appropriate professional organizations at the national, regional, and/or state levels.Minimum Education Requirements: Master’s degree in Education Administration, Educational Leadership or a related field is required. A doctoral degree in Education Administration, Education Leadership or related field is highly preferred. ABDs with a documented plan of completion by appointment date will be considered.Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements: Experience as an administrator in K-12 public schools is required.
