The ER Registrar Coordinator manages the daily operations for all ER patient registration functions to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives including Lab, Surgery, Radiology, Cardiology, and Rehab. Implements and supports HSC processes, policies and procedures as directed. Works with PFSD in identifying opportunities for improvement in customer satisfaction, quality performance and fiscal responsibility.· Developing/implementing specific departmental goals for:o Customer Service (fostering a service-oriented attitude with Patients, Physicians, Office Staff and Ancillary Department personnel).o Developing/Monitoring Performance standards for all OP Patient Access team members performing Registration duties:§ Accuracy and quality of data collected.§ Quantity of data collected.§ Timeliness in the registration process and cycle time in getting the patients to their point(s) of service utilizing OPTUM.§ Upfront collections.§ Oversees PBX Functions· Meets on a regular basis (at least monthly) with registration staff to communicate how they are performing collectively and individually in attaining departmental goals. Initiates discussion on opportunities to continually improve performance for quality, customer satisfaction, and upfront collections.· Measures and Monitors staff performance monthly (taking necessary individual performance improvement action when appropriate.)· Handle supply inventory for all of ER Registration Needs.· Manages and oversees:o Staff scheduling.o Recruitment (selecting candidates with positive attitudes and aptitudes (pre-testing, when possible, to ensure their ability to be successful and meet expectations.o Assist PFSD with Team Member evaluations (to include performance improvement initiatives, when necessary).o On-going staff education/training.· Works with PFSD in monitoring department:o Budgets.o Regulatory Compliance.o Departmental contracts.o Vendor relations.o Determines/Justifies needs for:§ Systems§ Equipment§ Supply Purchases· Monitors usage and oversees that equipment is in proper working order and/or stock supplies are at an acceptable level.· Recognize staff for their support and ideas and celebrate their successes.· Meets/Exceeds performance expectations.· Practices and adheres to the Code of Conduct and exemplifies or Core Values while following policies and procedures.· Supports special projects and business analysis as requested.· Backup PFSD when needed.· Covers shifts when staffing issues arise.· Available after hours to respond to questions from staff.Minimum QualificationsEducation· Associates degree or three years of relevant experience required· Bachelor's degree preferredExperience· 3 years of progressive relevant experience preferredJob: Please select a valid job field Organization: Jackson Purchase Medical Center Title: ER Registrar Coordinator Location: Kentucky-Mayfield Requisition ID: 7428-4689
