Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in HVAC systems, commercial construction, or outside sales experience. The role will begin with a training period focused on learning the technical aspects of HVAC systems, all things blueprints, and building cost-effective solutions for contractors. After the training period, this position will transition to Outside Sales, where you will build and maintain strong relationships with our long-term clients and close high-value contracts while being a collaborative team player who can spread brand awareness and keep Allied Technologies top of mind in the commercial and industrial construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Take-offs: Review and interpret mechanical blueprints (both digital and physical). Perform take-offs to calculate quantities, price materials, and prepare cost sheets.
Bid Management: Assist in generating bids for contractors, often involving sheet metal packages. Work closely with contractors, engineers, and designers to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
Sales Support: Support the sales team in managing contractor relationships and maintaining a book of business.
Job Site Visits: Conduct site visits to ensure accurate measurements and specifications for HVAC systems when needed.
Submittals & Orders: Assist with the submittal process and ensure that all equipment meets specifications before placing orders.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with contractors. Keep Allied Technologies top-of-mind by providing excellent service and support.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience: 2+ years in HVAC sales or commercial construction, preferably with experience in mechanical systems, or civil/mechanical engineering background.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of HVAC systems, blueprint interpretation, and building scopes of work for installation teams.
Skills: Excellent math skills, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly learn technical aspects of HVAC products.
Self-Starter: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and stay organized.
Professionalism: Must present themselves professionally in all aspects of their role and maintain a positive attitude.
Education: College degree preferred, but not required.
Other Requirements:
Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Compensation and Benefits:
Base Salary: Starting salary of $70k–$85k, dependent on experience.
Commission: Begins after training period.
Other Compensation: Auto allowance and cell phone allowance.
