This is a new full-time position created to facilitate the mission statement of Highpointe Farm and Training Center. The position requires strong communication and people skills. It interacts with guests and other farm team members consistently. The Manager will be on-site during all working hours. Must be proficient in writing promotional materials, using social media to promote various components of the farm which they are responsible. See more below. Highly organized yet able to have fun while working hard. Computer proficient with Word, Excel, publishing software and more. Experience with Air-BNB and Verbo helpful, but not required. Budgeting and cost control. Will Train. Schedule is Tuesday through Saturday weekly. Off hours required, as job requires.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Manage six cabin rentals on farm to guests which includes advertising, booking, check in and check outs.
2. Manage cleaning crew for cabin turnovers and assure quality control.
3. Meet guests upon check-in. Keys, rules, parking etc. and check out, when necessary.
4. Manage, schedule, promote and host farm tours. Includes groups of 4-12 people. Tours are approximately one hour each.
5. Manage Visitor and Welcome Center gift shop. Includes ordering inventory, point of sales, creative marketing.
6. Manage special events and community outreach. Includes creative events for profit and marketing, organization, budgets and coordination of events.
7. Youth outreach and other special groups that manager identifies. Approximately one event a month which can include the indoor arena.
High School Diploma required. Degree preferred, but not essential.
Min. 2 years of hospitality or equivalent required.
Knowledge of thoroughbred horse racing is helpful, but not required.
Reliable transportation
Medium to heavy lifting required. 30-50 Lbs.
Must navigate uneven walking surfaces and perform operation of golf cart with guests.
Professional appearance and appropriate attire for farm and horse environment.
Very competitive salary with bonuses and dependent on experience.
