What You’ll Do
A successful Office Manager possesses a warm, professional, and personable demeanor as the first point of contact, both in person and over the phone, for our clients, visitors, and vendors. The role is responsible for the general administrative function and activities of our firm including, but not limited to, facility and equipment maintenance, banking, vendor selection, client relations, project oversight, event planning, supply inventory, and maintenance of our efficient records management system. While working at Bourke, the Office Manager would be able to talk about taxes with our clients and peers and have foundational knowledge of bookkeeping.
What Knowledge Skills and Abilities You’ll Need
Associates degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or other relevant field from accredited college;
Minimum 1 year experience in office, administrative or facilities management in a professional services firm
Experience with bookkeeping and bookkeeping principles
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel & Word
Intermediate proficiency in Accounting Solutions & Quick Books Software
Proven track record of punctuality & attendance
Insurable driving record for frequent local travel to bank, mail, courier services, etc. during business hours
Ability to work extended hours during peak tax season between January 2nd through Tax Day
Possess a clear background history free of bankruptcies
Customer Service: High level of professionalism and congeniality to be first point of contact with clients and vendors
Proactive: Proactive problem solver interested in building a fun yet productive work environment
Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks to ensure practice is efficiently operating
Organizational Skill: Ability to work through complex issues and tasks methodically
Attention to Detail: Maintains a systematic way to cross-check work for accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree such in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration from an accredited college or university
Possesses or willing to obtain valid IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
Possesses or willing to obtain Certified Office Manager Certificate from National Associate of Certified Bookkeepers

Physical Requirements
This position is primarily located in an office environment. Able to perform the following duties with or without accommodation:
Sit at a desk, conference room or workstation for the entirety of assigned work hours/shift
Ability to operate computer and office equipment
Access transportation to occasionally travel to run business-related errands
Occasional travel to local, state, and national events or meetings for professional development
Communicate in clear speaking voice in person, before large audiences and over audio or video-based communications applications (e.g. phone, Zoom)
Able to occasionally lift 25 lbs. pounds
Benefits & Compensation
This is a regular, full-time, exempt position scheduled Mondays through Fridays, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. The non-negotiable starting rate of pay is $50,000. Full-time employees are eligible to participate in benefits the first of the month following 30 days of service. Benefits include:
