We are a small, client-centered law firm dedicated to helping individuals navigate the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) processes. Our mission is to provide compassionate, effective legal support to those in need — from initial application through appeals. We’re looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented case manager to join our team part-time, with flexible hours and work-from-home capabilities.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Social Security Case Manager to support one attorney and multiple clients in managing SSDI and SSI claims. The ideal candidate will have strong experience handling Social Security disability claims from intake through hearing, excellent communication skills, and a high level of organization. This is a part-time position (10–20 hours/week) with flexible scheduling and the ability to work remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor SSDI/SSI case files from intake to resolution
Conduct client intakes and gather essential documentation and medical records
Prepare and submit forms to the SSA, DDS, and OHO
Track deadlines and maintain case management systems
Assist in preparing hearing
Communicate regularly with clients, SSA, DDS, and medical providers
Provide compassionate, knowledgeable support to clients facing disability
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in Social Security disability case management preferred (law firm or advocacy organization)
In-depth knowledge of SSA procedures, forms, deadlines, and appeal stages
Familiarity with SSA’s Electronic Records Express (ERE) and POMS guidelines
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable with cloud-based case management software (e.g., Clio)
Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently
