We are seeking a reliable & motivated Handyman Assistant to join our team. This role involves working closely with our lead handyman to complete a variety of repair, maintenance & improvement projects for residential & commercial clients. The ideal candidate is eager to learn & comfortable using basic tools & equipment.
Responsibilities include:
Assist with general repair, maintenance & installation tasks (plumbing, carpentry, painting, minor electrical, etc.)
Prepare work areas by gathering tools, materials & supplies
Perform basic tasks such as measuring, cutting, lifting & holding materials in place
Keep work areas clean, safe & organized
Load & unload tools, equipment & materials at job sites
Follow safety procedures & company guidelines at all times
Support the lead handyman as directed on various sites
Capable of driving around Louisville & other surrounding areas
Requirements:
Some experience in construction, maintenance or handyman work preferred (willing to train the right person)
Ability to safely use basic hand & power tools
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, kneel & work in various conditions
Strong work ethic, punctuality & attention to detail
Good communication, customer service & teamwork skills
Valid driver's license & reliable transportation
Capable of driving a truck with a trailer under all conditions
