Billing/Collections specialist, needed NOW. You will handle the processing of incoming payments and formulate a system for making collections in a timely manner. Also act as "overflow" help for the current chiropractic assistant/receptionist.
Great Monday through Friday daytime hours. Relatively low-stress office.
Some college preferred.
Responsibilities
Bill insurance companies.
Ensure all payers remain informed on their outstanding debts and deadlines
Write weekly spreadsheet on billing activity with clear and reliable data.
Track each insurance billing from the date of billing until payment is received.
Skills
Proven experience as billing/collections specialist
Adherence to HIPAA laws and best practices in regards to dealing with customers and data
Comfortable dealing with numbers and the processing of financial information
Excellent knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel) and Electronic Medical Records software
Proficiency in English
High degree of attention to detail, trustworthiness and attendance record essential.
