Job Title: Mechanical DesignerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a talented Mechanical Designer to create and maintain models and drawings for craftsmen, vendors, and customers for existing and new equipment. You will work as part of a collaborative team to balance workloads and ensure quality deliverables are produced on time. This role involves assisting the engineering team with day-to-day project functions, including researching product specifications, contacting vendors, and other support functions as needed. You will also update bills of materials (BOMs) and facilitate entry into the MRP system or other databases, complete tasks in engineering documentation, and identify and aid in process improvement and standardization. Additionally, you will work with purchasing and manufacturing to provide technical support as needed and maintain utilization by assisting with non-drafting project activities such as component assembly and hands-on work in the shop as required. Importing and breaking down customer-supplied CAD data to support quoting new business is also a key part of this role.Responsibilities

Essential Skills
Proficiency in Inventor (strongly preferred).
Experience with AutoCAD.
Ability to create manufacturing and shop drawings.
Experience with BOM (bill of materials) and modeling.
Familiarity with vault systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate's degree minimum, Bachelor's degree preferred.
