This is accomplished by providing the highest quality of service to internal/external members and by improving the credit union's competitive position, consistent with its mission, within the markets served. This role will plan, direct, and manage the delivery of marketing plans and processes toward the accomplishment of overall credit union objectives.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:Essential Functions & Responsibilities:While meeting the service standards for the credit union, direct and execute the daily workflow and operations for marketing and promotional activities in the department. Will participate in and oversee the marketing process from concept to completion; works with stakeholders to establish needs, present options, and define final objectives for content, timelines, etc.; manage the annual promotional calendar for the Credit Union across all business lines. Work directly with marketing vendors/agencies establishing and monitoring scope of work, timelines and delivery. Enhance brand awareness, brand identity, and position, maintaining consistency throughout all marketing activities.Analyze target market information to identify and recommend effective marketing approaches. Conduct market research and make recommendations for product/service modifications or improvements. Identify new market segments that will benefit from company products. Maintain knowledge of marketing techniques and emerging trends as well as competitor products/services, delivery methods, etc. Make recommendations to improve processes for better efficiency, productivity, or to achieve better results.Oversee implementation of all internal and external communications including website, social media, email, SMS, print and digital ads, press releases, and employee communications. Report on credit union milestones and achievements, announce awards granted to the credit union or its employees, etc.Promote and attend special events and functions. Coordinate planning, scheduling, and implementation as required for execution which may include facilities, meeting logistics, speaker content, media arrangements, etc. as applicable.Hire, direct, and develop staff for accomplishing marketing objectives. Provide timely feedback and coaching; conduct disciplinary action as needed; and complete performance appraisals as required. Establish clear expectations, determine goals for performance, and hold employees accountable for the same.Maintain knowledge of laws and regulations that may affect marketing products and/or processes. Ensure compliance in all marketing efforts to mitigate risk of monetary and/or reputational loss to the credit union.Assist in establishing the Marketing budget. Ensure operations adhere to the approved budget.Performs other job related duties as assigned.Performance Measurements:Performance Measurement:1. To deliver high quality member service by following service standards2.To provide friendly, professional and accurate service and support to all members and coworkers and achieve high ratings for service excellence.3.To ensure marketing efforts are directed to achieve the credit union's planned market share, assets, loans, and other product/service objectives.4.To provide direction and recommendations to management, based on current research data, regarding market strategies and directions the credit union should take.5.To accomplish all assigned projects according to policy and procedures, keeping management informed of any problematic areas.6.To complete performance reviews within the prescribed time frame.7.To hire, direct and motivate a highly qualified staff sufficient to meet the daily operational needs of the department.8.To maintain a professional work environment, promote teamwork, build respect among coworkers and present a businesslike appearance.9.To follow all security policies and procedures and report discrepancies or suspicious activity to manager immediately.Knowledge and Skills:Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.Education:(1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).Interpersonal Skills: Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.Other Skills:Creative writing and knowledge of target marketing required.Must possess graphic design skills.Must possess organizational and analytical skills; must be able to coordinate a variety of projects.Must possess PC skills and be able to run spreadsheets, word processing, and publishing software as well as other general office equipment.Excellent communication skills.Physical RequirementsWORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
