JOB DESCRIPTIONJob SummaryThis role will execute the enterprise data governance strategy and roadmap in alignment with the company's vision. This role is within the company's Enterprise Information Management (EIM) organization and reports directly to the Director of Enterprise Data Platform and Data Governance.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIESManages and provides direct oversight of Healthcare Analytics Team activities and personnel. Provides technical expertise, manages relationships with operational leaders and staff. Directs staff assigned to their projects, maintains internal work plans as well as project work plans to meet reporting needs of the Health Plan. Resource to HCS staff for mentoring, coaching, and analysis questions. Responsible for staff time keeping, performance coaching, development, and career paths.
Create policies, procedures, and standards for managing data assets, with a focus on healthcare data compliance and regulations.
Implement enterprise data governance standards, guidelines, and policies (e.g. master data, metadata, reference data, data collection, data quality, data lineage etc.)
Identify and mitigate data quality issues, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Work with stakeholders, including healthcare providers and IT teams, to define and maintain data standards, including data definitions, business rules, and data lineage.
Develop and enforce policies for data retention and disposal, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA.
Design and implement policies based on data sensitivity and regulatory requirements, with a focus on protecting patient information.
Provide training on data governance best practices to ensure compliance and understanding across the organization, especially among healthcare professionals.
Lead data governance initiatives in the healthcare industry, leveraging industry-specific knowledge to ensure compliance and data integrity
Utilizing expertise in Azure and Databricks-related tools to enhance data management and analytics capabilities
Manage data security and privacy controls, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA and HITECH
Implement data governance frameworks that support healthcare data interoperability and integration
