Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Head of Finance in Louisville, Kentucky. This role will be integral to a manufacturing company, where you will be expected to set up accounting systems, oversee construction projects, and build an efficient accounting team. You will also be tasked with creating operating budgets, forecasting, providing KPI reports, analyzing costs, and ensuring compliance with USGAAP. This role is crucial in providing financial reports to foreign ownership groups.Responsibilities: Set up and manage accounting software and chart of accounts Oversee accounting aspects of facility construction projects Build and manage an efficient accounting team Develop and manage the US operating budget Carry out forecasting activities and provide KPI reporting Conduct cost analysis to ensure financial efficiency Ensure compliance with USGAAP Provide financial reporting to foreign ownership groups Implement and improve financial processes. Oversee the month-end close process. Requirements Candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a finance leadership role. Proficiency in budgeting and forecasting is essential. Familiarity with the month-end close process is required. Experience in financial reporting is a must. Expertise in manufacturing cost accounting is crucial. Proven experience in process implementation is needed. Skills in process improvement are essential. Knowledge and experience in KPI reporting is required. Applicant must hold a relevant bachelor's degree; a master's degree or professional certifications such as CPA or CFA are preferred. Strong leadership and team management skills are necessary. Excellent communication, analytical and strategic thinking skills are required. Advanced proficiency in finance software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is necessary. Knowledge of legal regulations related to finance and reporting is a must.
